Welcome to the Prospect Road Community Centre Website!
The proposed Prospect Road and Area Community Centre is a new multipurpose neighbourhood recreational facility located within District 22 area of the Halifax Regional Municipality.
Situated between the Hatchet Lake Fire Station and Prospect Road Elementary School, the Centre is to serve as the focal point for community information, events and activities in this predominately rural area.
Once completed in 2009 the Community Centre will include such amenities as:
- A gymnasium and multi purpose space
- HRM Recreation programming
- A weight and fitness room
- Meeting / activity space for local clubs and other organized activities
- Administrative space
- An indoor community street
